Group accounts and the Linux server
I need some good strategies for students to submit work to their teachers,
and for teachers to pass out assignments to their students. I thought this
could be done with group accounts and not local mail (which I have not yet
delved into).
Should I just put this out as an open question and study what you all have
done or would you rather I harness you with what I'm trying to do, which
might be a flawed strategy to begin with.
linux printing
I took a visit to linuxprinting.org to get drivers for some printers. It
said the driver/filter for this printer was the "laserjet" and that this
driver/filter worked for 22 other printers. I retrieved a page for the
laserjet that offered me several files for my very old IBM 4019 Laser
printer, none of which were called laserjet. I could download: a PPD, an
old CUPS PPD, a Description file, and a PDQ Driver. Which is the true
driver. ??
Then, from what I gather, I need to reference the driver in the printcap file?
