Each year, Auxiliary Services for High Schools (ASHS)
prepares thousands of students for the GED test. The experiences of teaching and learning are
enhanced by the varied backgrounds and cultures of our students. Though they are all New Yorkers, our students
claim roots in countries from Ghana
to Guinea, Poland
to China, Dominican
Republic to India,
Puerto Rico to Jamaica.
Jamaica Learning
Center is the proud host of the
ASHS Multicultural Festival held each June in celebration of the rich cultural
diversity of the student body. Parents,
students, teachers and administrators enjoy the food, music, art and dance of a
talented and inspired group of young people.
