About EBC Departments School Pictures Guidance Office | Sports Director: Mr. Sampson Here is a little information on our schools extra curricular activities that everyone looks forward to. Cheer Leaders/ Steppers The boosters and cheerleaders took a step in the right direction. The girls worked real hard and showed a lot of school spirit. With the help of coaches Ms. Patterson and Ms. Miller the girls� future will be bright. Baseball The baseball team at EBC made quite a buzz last year (it�s first). The team had a 9 and 4 record; the four loses were to two A division powerhouses�Transit Tech and Westing House. Mr.Corallo, Mr. Daniel�s and Mr. Wright are coaching the team this year. I like the coaching staff because they aren�t just building a winning team on the field, but they are building one off the field as well. The staff puts school work first. This team is going places. Girls Basketball The girl�s team was a major success this past season finishing with 7 wins and 2 loses and an invite to a post-season tournament. We also have a lot to look forward to; the team will not loose any of its players to graduation. A majority of players are freshmen and sophomores. Coach Janel McDonald did a great job of creating team unity. I feel very comfortable in the fact that the girls are going in the right direction. Boys Basketball The past season was disappointing at the same time promising. We had a coaching change, Mr. Rodgers who came in and added new life to the team. Hopefully next season the changes we made will show up in EBC making the playoffs. |
