Legends Beat Fashion 70-36 to improve to 8-1.
After a slow start in a quiet gym in Chelsea Piers, the boys basketball team picked up the pace and scored 35 points in the second quarter to build an insurmountable lead over the Fashion Falcons. Angel Lantigua had 5 three-pointers in the quarter, and Antonio Matos had 17 points in the same quarter, mostly on Fashion turnovers.
In the closing seconds of the final quarter, big man Kirk Miller shot an NBA three-pointer and hit nothing but net. Despite this show of range, the coaches have advised him to stick to the inside stuff. Nine players scored for Landmark, and the bench players outscored Fashion as well.
