ATHLETES MUST BE IN ATTENDANCE A MINIMUM OF A HALF
DAY ON THE DAY OF ANY CONTEST OR PRACTICE IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE.
FOR A SATURDAY CONTEST, THEY MUST BE IN ATTENDANCE ON THE PROCEEDING
FRIDAY (REFER TO ATHLETIC HANDBOOK).
Students staying beyond 2:30 PM
for a later practice MUST report immediately to the cafeteria and
remain there until the coach arrives at this designated area.
Any athlete placed in OUT OF SCHOOL
suspension is automatically removed for all team activities for
the duration of the suspension period.
NOTE: If the principal deems
it an extremely serious offense, the athlete may be removed from
the team for the remainder of the season. If removed from the team,
the athlete is not eligible to receive any awards for the sport
for that season
2. A student who serves only 1 day
of In House Detention (IHD), ending at 3:30 p.m., may participate.
A student who is assigned to more than 1 day of IHD consecutively
will not be allowed to participate in extracurricular activities
on the following days.
If after-school detention is assigned,
it is the responsibility of the student to make arrangements with
the coach/student affairs coordinator/administrator.
Misconduct on school grounds, on
buses, or while on an away game/scrimmage is subject to the same
disciplinary measures as misconduct during the regular school day.
3. Should a student-athlete (or
parent) have concerns, he/she should follow the proper chain of
command. (Advisor/Coach � Principal � Superintendent � Board of
Education).
