Greetings! Satellite Academy is a great school with energetic students, so it is a wonderful experience being the college counselor and the peer mediation trainer here.For the students graduating in January and June, we have a class called senior seminar, which helps with the transition to college,the work-world,or just"life after satellite."For example,i work with students on college applications,financial aid,scholarships and S.A.T. registration.We also believe,as a school,that young people can have a respectful,constructive,and non-violent response to a conflict. At Satellite,we use the mediation process to solve disputes within our community.It is exciting to be training the peer mediators of the future!
