Originally from midwest, I completed my undergraduate degree in Spanish Language and Literature at the University of Wisconsin- Madison in 1993. I first came to Satellite in 1997 when I was studying for my Masters in Science and Environmental Education at Antioch New England Graduate School. I did my student teachingat the Bronx site under Science teacher Carol Kennedy, and started teaching Science at the Forsyth Street in the fall of 1998. My classes mainly focus on Sexual Health, Biology, and Environmental Science, with a heavy emphasis on an inquiry-based approach to learning. My main goal is to get students to take what they are learning and see how it applies to their every day life and the world around them. |
